I received my V2 x17r today and am working on setting it up for work. I have a 3 year old laptop and have downloaded the software, but not sure if I have it set up correctly for this. I have had it working with my CentOS lab, but the lab has different software on it. I am not sure what settings I need to make or do to make this work on a Windows system.
I have tried using the V1 software to download the V2 software, and I get a long message saying that my version is not compatible with the client and I need to download the client separately. Am I missing a key piece of information?
Hi – I finally got the software installed. I’ve been trying for a few hours to get this to work. In Windows7, I have put the Inet and OPC client on my desktop. When I go to the RSLinx setup.exe file on my desktop, I get an error message stating that I am not connected to the internet. I have the modem connected, and I’m able to access the internet as well as surf. Why is this? What are the instructions to get this to work?
