Colin Mcrae Rally 2 Crack No Cd | Checkedl
and having played through the normal game, the arcade version is absolutely breathtaking. taking the cars from the arcade version of the games, i sat back in the driving seat and was treated to some of the most stunning scenery i’ve seen in a driving game to date. there’s no doubt that the game captures the full-blooded nature of rallying – there’s a speed, focus and purpose to the game that i found so lacking in later outings in the series. this is really what we’ve been missing, and it’s fantastic to have these sights on offer once more.
thankfully, colin mcrae rally 2 gives the player the ability to choose his own route to the championship, rather than just a pre-made route suggested by the game. this is a great improvement on the original and allows for a little more enjoyment. the game also splits the rally into several stages, each of which are of varying lengths (though never less than three laps) and are of varying difficulties, from a very straightforward wrc-like stage to a very difficult chunk of road to be negotiated in a single stage. as a result, the player is able to set-up a variety of different stages to reach the end. this is probably the best aspect ofcmr2 in its original form, and a real strong point of the game.
colin mcrae rally 2 also gives the player the option to use three different car setups. there are the driver’s, co-driver’s and the set-up consisting of both. each setup also gives the ability to set vehicle characteristics, such as tyres, brakes and suspension. as you play more, youll be given more and more vehicles, which make the job of finding that perfect setup infinitely easier.
as mentioned earlier, the game is split into three different types of stages; wrc-style, tourist and raceway, with the second and third making for some of the more fun stages. there’s also a cars-only mode for those who just want to play the levels out to the end. and in true colin mcrae style, colin mcrae rally 2 has got a good selection of the usual suspects and a whole host of their traditional mates such as rallye paris-dakar, rallye monte-carlo, rally finland, rally catalunya and rally de espana.
on to the single event modes. the individual championship and single race is split into nine rallies, with each rally taking you through a different environment. the number of stages included in each rally is pretty much the same for all environments, with one sub-rally consisting of three stages. what makes an environment different is the weather and the traps youll come across. in some rallies, the weather is really bad, making the stages really slippery. in other rallies, the weather is much better, with the rolling grass turning to mud and similar. there are three different stages of difficulty. as far as the ‘easy’ stages go, you can expect to get through them in around 30 minutes, but they can be quite tricky, as youll most likely have to go round the sharper corners. in each rally, you can earn points as you drive through the stages, the number of points youre awarded for each stage depending on what stage you finish in. after each rally, your place in the championship is decided based on your points total, with the number of points you get doubling the points on offer in the championship. for example, if you finish the first rally in 4th place and the next rally in 6th place, you will earn 8 championship points in a total of 36 points. the same would apply if you finish the final rally in 5th place. the first rally in which you reach 20 championship points will be for the overall championship. this is then followed by the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
