ZPyODBCDA is a very straightforward and easy to use Zope Database Adapter which links Zope to ODBC data sources. It implements both the Zope Datastore and the Zope ORM to provide both persistence and retrieve objects in Zope 2.7 and higher.
Installation:
As of Zope2.7 you can install ZPyODBCDA as part of your Zope installation. You should already have access to the ZODB, because your Zope installation should already be set up for you.
You can install ZPyODBCDA to your Zope ‘extensions’ directory as follows:
1. Set Zope up in the usual way. Refer to the Zope Deployment instructions if you need help doing this.
2. Open the Zope deployment shell.
3. Issue the command: ‘zopectl extensions install’
4. You should then get a’succesful’ message in the output. Issue the command
‘zopectl extensions install zpyodbc’
5. Issue the command

and you should see a message saying ‘”zpyodbc” has been installed’ in the output.
