Mozilla Firefox 49.0 Offline Installer (x86 X64) ! [Latest]
I think you can’t simply run this new Firefox without doing updates. If you check some of the files in the new content folder, you’ll notice that after running the install, Firefox appears to be ‘hunting around’. This is because he needs to fully download the new updated apps and features.
Checking the files in the “Application Data” folder will give you the URL for the.exe installer. Since this folder isn’t being deleted during the uninstall process, I highly doubt that this is the result of a malicious attack. I suspect that the folder is for some testing or some sort of obfuscation, and if that’s the case, it’s highly probable that the files being deleted are generated by the same application. I think it’s safe to say that the folder is from Mozilla itself.
