Mediatek Chipset SW Upgrade Procedure Using Multiport Download Tool
Well, thanks to this topic in XDA forums, I am here to share the step by step guide in order to update firmware on Galaxy Tab E or Galaxy Tab E 10.1 for MediaTek chipset on your Android device. You may be interested to know that, there is no other way, except this way, to update firmware for Samsung Tab E or Tab E 10.1 without an offline computer or Windows PC. In this tutorial, I will tell you how to update Galaxy Tab E or Galaxy Tab E 10.1 firmware using Samsung PC Suite.
Samsung PC Suite is an useful tool for all Samsung devices. It includes a variety of tools such as, Samsung PC Suite Downloader, Samsung PC Suite Blu-ray media player, Samsung PC Suite Screen recording tool and Samsung PC Suite Remote app for network access.
Developer & Vendor certificates, user certificates (and private keys), the Android SDK Tools, and the system files such as boot.img are installed into the Secure_Install Environment (SE) which is installed on a removable storage medium such as a USB stick and on the device itself. The SE provides a clean Linux environment to the device and cannot be used directly to root the device. This also means that the apps that you download and install must also be signed by a developer’s certificate installed on the SE.
