5.2 terms and conditions. when using the programs, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. any illegal or unauthorized use of the programs may subject you to criminal prosecution and civil and/or regulatory penalties, and may subject aws and our affiliates to significant damages and losses, including without limitation, (i) lost profits, (ii) reputational damage, (iii) litigation and settlements, (iv) and third party claims, damages, and losses, and (v) all other legal or equitable remedies available to us and our affiliates at law or in equity. these terms may not be modified or amended except by a written instrument executed by an authorized representative of aws.
statistical design nisvs is a national cross-sectional survey that provides data about experiences of sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence among adult women and men in the united states.
qualitative measures as part of the survey, respondents were asked about experiences of sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence, including whether they had ever been involved in each incident. these experiences were cross-tabulated by gender and by perpetrator.
about the 2011 nisvs the purpose of the 2011 survey was to further the understanding of the national prevalence of sexual violence and stalking victimization and intimate partner violence perpetration among adult women and men in the united states. the survey also assessed the frequency of occurrence, severity, and consequences of the three forms of violence.
description of system: nisvs is a national random-digit-dial telephone survey of the noninstitutionalized english- and spanish-speaking u.s. population aged 18 years. nisvs gathers data on experiences of sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence among adult women and men in the united states by using a dual-frame sampling strategy that includes both landline and cellular telephones. the survey was conducted in 50 states and the district of columbia; in 2011, the second year of nisvs data collection, 12,727 interviews were completed, and 1,428 interviews were partially completed.
hhs opdivs and staffdivs engage and work with a broad range of partners and stakeholders to implement the strategies and achieve this objective. they include: the disease, disability, and injury prevention and control special emphasis panel, injury prevention in ai/an communities, interagency committee on smoking and health, national center for injury prevention and control board of scientific counselors, national organizations of state and local officials cooperative agreement, national youth tobacco survey (nyts), native american research centers for health (narch), population assessment of tobacco and health (path), and tobacco regulatory science program (trsp).
8.8 independent contractors;non-exclusive rights. we and you are independent contractors, and these terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary, or employment relationship. the use of the term apn partner or partner of aws refers solely to membership in the program. you will not make any representations, warranties, or guarantees to any third party on behalf of aws. neither party, nor any of its respective affiliates, is an agent of the other for any purpose or has the authority to bind the other. each party is solely responsible for establishing the prices of its own products and services. these terms are non-exclusive and do not preclude aws or you from entering into similar agreements with third parties. both parties reserve the right to (a) develop or have developed for its products, services, concepts, systems, or techniques that are similar to or compete with the products, services, concepts, systems, or techniques developed or contemplated by the other party, and (b) assist third party developers or systems integrators who might offer products or services which compete with the other partys products or services.
